5 Edibles That You Can Freeze and Use Later

If used wisely, an ice cube tray could be a brilliant tool in the kitchen. Apart from using it to freeze water, it could be used to freeze a plethora of edibles that could be used later.

Here are 5 edibles that are totally freezer-friendly:

  1. Lemon Juice:

There are a plenty of dishes that require a small bit of lemon juice. Rather than getting messed up in cutting a lemon and squeezing it, just grab a lemon ice cube and make it an ingredient of that dish.

  1. Wine:

If you have a bit of red or white wine left that you don’t plan to drink, freeze it for its future use as merely an ice cube. The wine cubes can also be used in recipes that have red/white wine listed as one of the ingredients.

  1. Yolks/Egg Whites:

There are a plenty of dishes which ask for a bit of egg white or yolk. Don’t throw what is left, rather freeze it in your ice cube tray to be used in future.

  1. Stock:

If you have made some stock at home, store the excess of it in the form of ice cubes. Next time on reheating leftovers or making a sauce, make sure to add a cube or two of the stock.

  1. Fruit Juice:

Freeze various fruit juices and later use the cubes to either make a mocktail or chill your fruit juice with the same flavored ice cube.
